Current Excavations
The Current Excavation is being held May 22-27. This excavation will also continue May 30 - June 2.
May 22
Today was our first day back on the site, so we reoriented ourself to our previously laid out grid, laid out five new excavation units, and hosted 8th graders from Marlinton Middle School and two classes of history students and one English class from Pocahontas County High School. It went very well, the rain held off, and many exciting artifacts were found. Please look at our photos, and also tune in tomorrow.
